Helpline and counselling

This is available ibetween 9.00 am and 8.00 pm on weekdays and between 10 am and 6 pm on weekends and bank holidays. It is closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. The Society apologises for any inconvenience this may cause to its members.

Because the helpline is run by volunteers who may have jobs, answerphones may be used at certain times. Callers who leave a message are contacted as soon as possible at the Society's expense. Please note that we do not deal with emergencies. In case of emeregency, please call your doctor or contact NHS Direct.

Counselling

The Society does not provide trained counsellors, but the Helpline provides a listening and discussion service.
