School students raise £1000

Interact teamBSS member Harriot Bishop (second from left on the back row) and the Interact (Young Rotarians) team at Myton School, Warwick, organised various events over the past year to raise money for the Society. They started with selling orange ribbons, which were a great success. They then held an Easter egg hunt for the 6th form, which saw everyone running round the school site following clues and collecting chocolate. They had various raffles throughout the year and finished with a University Challenge style quiz with the head of the 6th form as the quiz master. The students also managed to raise awareness of Behçet’s disease by having a display about it at each open evening and school event. The target was to raise £500, but they doubled it and sent a cheque for £1000 to the Society in May 2008, which was a fantastic achievement.
